Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will meet and assist you. Transfer from the airport to Pinnawala, where you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Witness the heartwarming sight of elephants being bottle-fed and moving freely on the expansive coconut property. Since 1975, this orphanage has provided care for orphaned and three-legged elephants. Over 20 calves have been born here, some even seeing their grandchildren. Transfer from Pinnawala to Dambulla, where the iconic Dambulla Rock Temple awaits. Marvel at the unique drawings in the five magnificently constructed cave temples that flank the golden temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will proceed to Sigiriya, the 5th-century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Lion Rock, adorned with frescoes resembling Gupta style paintings found in Ajanta caves of India. Visit the well-fabricated museum for a journey into the citadel’s history.
